The number one question we get asked on a regular basis is "How much is a wedding cake?" 

That's an easy question to answer when you are referring to a round or square filled or basic cake. When you are asking about a 5 tier, multi-flavour, fondant- covered masterpiece with life-like modelled figurines then the answer is not quite so straight forward!

There is an idea amongst brides that when you say the word 'Wedding', the prices magically triples.

We would like to assure you that this, in our case, is just not true.

We base the price of our cakes on the cost of our ingredients, supplies and resources; additions like flowers and toppers; the time spent planning, baking, decorating and delivering; as well as consultation time which often includes face to face appointments, emails and phone calls. We will also liaise with your venue in regards to delivery arrangements and necessary paperwork (venues often require written instructions/details of cake assembly/cutting instructions and also our kitchen registration certification).

SIZES:

When we talk to you about your cake, we are going to ask you for some key information to figure out the size that you will require:

 * How many guests is this cake for?

 * Is it for dessert, as part of a buffet or to serve with coffee/take home?

 * How many tiers would you like?

 * Would you like to save the top tier for you to take home?

A coffee serving is a 1x1 inch x 4 inch high piece.

A dessert serving is a 1x2 x4 inch high piece.

We use a chart to determine the best match of serves required along with your ideal number of tiers. We can provide a cutting guide to your venue if you desire.

DELIVERY:

We will always give you a quote for your cake that shows the price for delivery.

After all the hours that have been put into your cake, we do not recommend that you attempt to pick up and deliver the cake yourself (or get a friend or relative to do so).

Transporting cakes, especially with multi-tiers, is a tricky business! We are able to ensure that it arrives safely, anything that has come amiss during transport is repaired and that it is left in the care of your venue. If you insist on picking up the cake yourself, you will be asked to sign a disclaimer as we are unable to be responsible for the safe transport of the cake from that point.

CAKE STANDS:
We have a number of gorgeous cake stands available for hire - please ask us to see some suitable stands. Hire is available for the weekend and we can arrange a suitable time for them to be returned.
PRICE:
So how much is a wedding cake?
Every single cake we make is different. Your perfect cake is personalised to you and your dream day. Minimum pricing starts at $160 for a single tier cake.
 
BOOKINGS:
To give your cake the time and attention it deserves, we only take limited bookings, particularly on weekends. 
In order to schedule your cake on your event date a 50% non- refundable deposit is required. Without the deposit, we will not hold your date. Priority will be given to the paying customer.
All final payments are due 2 weeks prior to your event date. If payments are not made by the due date the cake may be cancelled.
Refunds are not provided for any reason. Due to our full schedule and our attention to detail we spend many hours planning and preparing before even beginning on a cake. We are able to accommodate changes to design up to 2 weeks before your event. Changes to externally sourced additions such as cake toppers or flowers may incur and additional cost.
SOME TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO MAKE NOTE OF:
STORAGE:
We are not liable for a cake once it has been delivered or picked up. Once delivered, the handling and storage of a cake becomes the responsibility of the venue and we are not liable for any damage or mishandling that may occur. Any cake placed outside during an event has the possibility of melting or deforming due to the heat. The same applies to cakes stored out of the fridge in heated venues. Storage information will be provided to your venue on delivery and they are responsible to ensure the safe storage of your cake.
DELIVERY:
If you choose to pick up your cake and transport it yourself, we are not liable or responsible for the cake once it has left the bakery. You should prepare your vehicle so it is clean and free of items that could roll or slide into the cake. We do everything in our power to provide a well-structured cake, but please note that cakes are very fragile and break easily, drive carefully and slowly.
FOOD ALLERGIES:
We are able to provide cakes to cater for various food allergies including gluten free and dairy free. Please be aware that our cakes are produced in a kitchen that contains flour, seeds, dairy and nuts including peanuts. All care and due diligence is taken to ensure there are not contaminants in our ingredients however we would not recommend that guests with life-threatening allergies consume these cakes. We would also recommend that your venue is also made aware of any allergies amongst your guests as we are unable to control the environment in which our cakes are cut and served and  are not liable for any contamination that could occur at this point.
CAKE STAND HIRE:
We are able to hire cake stands for a preset period of time. All hire arrangements require a cash deposit and that will be refunded on the safe return of all hire items. Late return will result in additional charges. Damaged items including cracks, chips and breakages will be charged at the pre-determined replacement cost.
